Lessons

One of the greatest joys in life for Michael is sharing music with others. As a third generation educator, teaching seems to have always been his natural path.
Over the last eighteen years, Michael has had the privilege of instructing hundreds of music students of all ages, ability levels and interests. Some of his students have gone on to perform in national and international competitions, sign major label recording contracts, and tour nationally. Many of Michael’s students have studied music at the collegiate level, serve on the music team at their local church, and most young students have continued to pursue music into adulthood. Believing strongly in musical diversity, Michael instructs a number of instruments including guitar, piano, voice, bass and ukulele. Each student is encouraged to be a multi-instrumentalist, to venture outside of his or her comfort zone, and to learn to appreciate new instruments and and styles of music. No two music lessons are the same because no two students are the same, but all lessons include a developmentally-appropriate introduction to music theory and reading music. This customization to individual interests and abilities is the beauty of one-on-one instruction.
A former home schooled student himself, Michael remains heavily involved in the home schooling community. He currently offers private lessons at several Chicago area home school co-ops.

In 2022, Michael launched a new YouTube channel. The channel is dedicated to releasing music lesson videos, unique covers of popular songs, and music theory tutorials on a weekly basis.
